Winter Wreath and Ceramic Ornaments Workshops
Winter Wreath and Ceramic Ornaments Making Workshops
The perfect festive workshops to unwind, connect with nature and get in the Christmas mood!
This festive season, Urban Meadows Pottery and Victoria Rose Florals are joining forces to bring you two truly special evenings of ceramic ornaments and sustainable wreath making at The Creameries in Chorlton. At the end of the two sessions, you will leave with a beautifully handmade wreath, finished with your own ceramic decorations.
There will be two workshops; the first focussed on creating your timeless and beautiful ceramic ornaments and the second focussed on creating your everlasting wreath. All equipment is provided and no experience is necessary for you to get creative and enjoy crafting something unique. You’ll be greeted with a welcome drink on both occasions, with more drinks and snacks available to purchase at the bar.
First session: Ceramic Decorative Ornaments Workshop
Date and time: Thursday 12th November 2026, 6:30pm - 8pm
Location: The Creameries, 406 Wilbraham Rd, M21 0SD
Details: Join Stacy from Urban Meadows Pottery for an evening of shaping earthy ceramic decorative ornaments, using a range of textures, stamps and rollers. There’s no need for experience, and no need for precision; some of the loveliest pieces come from hands that have never touched clay before. Stacy will guide you through creating decorations with a beautifully tactile, artisan finish.
Between sessions, the decorations are glazed and kiln-fired by hand, transforming them into long-lasting keepsakes. Some will be used to adorn the wreath you will create in the second session, some may go on to make thoughtful, handmade gifts, or find a home on your own Christmas tree.
Second session: Sustainable Winter Wreath Workshop
Date and time: Thursday 3rd December 2026, 6:30pm - 8:30pm
Location: The Creameries, 406 Wilbraham Rd, M21 0SD
Details: Victoria will expertly guide you step-by-step through using only the best British seasonal foliage, florals and dried elements to partially cover a locally woven willow base. All elements are sustainably sourced and the fresh foliage will dry beautifully over time. When the wreath is finished, we will take time to adorn it with some of the beautifully crafted ceramic decorations you made in the first session, to make your creation truly unique and incredibly special.
Your finished wreath will last for years if displayed indoors and packed away carefully. If you choose to display your wreath outside, it will last for the full festive period and can then be fully composted, once the ornaments and any ribbons are removed.
Price: £110 per person (£100 per person Early Bird until 31st October.
Good to know:
● Two sessions, run across two dates - see above for details
● All materials, equipment and welcome drink (non-alcoholic options available) provided for both sessions
● Ceramic decorations are professionally glazed and kiln-fired between sessions, ready to add to the wreath
● Wear something you’re not precious about (or bring an apron) as clay and wreath-making both get a little messy
